Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is a British-Canadian actress most well-known for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she earned five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She reprised the lead role in the Sex and the City (2008 as well as Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. Her leading characters include Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Her acting career began when she became a fashion designer at Skane. She ultimately won the Miss Sweden Contest. Then she moved to the US, and began appearing in a variety of films, as minor characters. In the movie Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was described as a Venusian. Her first credit role was in Abbott and Co. Go to Mars in which she played a Venusian guard.
